Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa (http://ninjiom-hk.cwahi.net/) may be another choice. i know alot of people use it, its also non alcoholic, though it's effectiveness is not as good as alcohol based cough medicine, but it's still good to use on not so serious scratchy throat.

That sounds like an interesting book to read (:)when I'm done with the other 6 next to my bed)...so this might be a good or not so good question (and shows I live in a lot of comfort): where do you start small? Buy fair trade - where do you go to shop? vitamin cottage? how do you influence that the most effective meds are so expensive and not accessible?

Oh sorry we weren't there to support. I too am a mess at public speaking and can totally relate.

At our last church I had to say the word Shministit during a justice service and executed it perfectly after weeks of practicing at the first service only to go, "I am a shmn, shimin, shmmmm, Bret how do you say that word again?" I left before service ended out a side door. I imagine you were not nearly as bad as you think.

You won't regret it. It may be hard and you may even get a "terror" but even those little terrors soften as they learn to trust. They do eventually let the guards around their hearts down and in time they do love back. So much of the time that terrorizing is truly just testing. "Do you still love me?" Sometimes we have to prove our love as parents through hugs, acceptance and encouragement. Other times we have to prove it through swift discipline. Prayer will be your #1 tool. God's grace will cover your flaws. It will be good. What a privilege to change a child's life!
