Great News!

Alright,

I know I said I would spend the next 40 days not talking about our adoption journey, but I also said that I would write 40 blogs in 40 days and I haven't done that either.  (I am probably going to have write 30 blogs on the Saturday before Easter).

I just wanted to send out a couple very exciting bits of news.  The first is great news to orphans all over Ethiopia, and the second is exciting news for us specifically.

First-  this one is cut and pasted from American World Adoption Agency:

America World has received confirmation of significant personnel changes within MOWA.  These changes have resulted in overall staff turnover and changes within the adoption unit.  The unit is now called the Ministry of Women, Children and Youth Affairs (MOWCYA).  We are hopeful that the new leadership will not only support processing an adequate number of favorable recommendation letters, but also continue to implement policies that will best serve the children of Ethiopia.  Due to the staffing changes we anticipate much transition over the next few weeks until the staff are settled into their new positions. We have continued to receive optimistic feedback and have seen how the Ethiopian government is very committed to adoption. 

The second: We just found out today that our church will receive donations for us. What this means to you, is that all donations will be tax deductible. Tax Deductible!  So, if you would like to make a donation to our adoption fund this is what you do.
